About the Campaign
NYPublicSchoolProud is home base for an ongoing campaign to highlight pride in public schools. As a clearinghouse for ideas, it features suggestions to help you to show the love for public education in New York State — either on your own or in partnership with your school, district or community organization.
We’re launching the campaign with tools and tips for a heart-themed event that encourages you to “Show the Love” for public education in the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14, 2017.
There are infinite ways for you to customize and iterate the campaign in your community and beyond, though we encourage local initiatives to include and build on the themes of #PublicSchoolProud and #ILovePublicSchools.
Use the campaign to complement advocacy for school aid and school budgets; the theme can also be tied to timely events (Valentine’s Day, school budget votes, science fairs) or specific causes for public school pride (student art, music, technology projects, “Acts of Kindness” events).
